Ready, Set, Retire

A three part series about your retirement. Register for one or all three of the sessions. All are held noon to 1 p.m. at the Norquay Building, Room 706C.

Talk to the MGEU’s Pension and Benefits expert about the fundamentals of the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security. Learn how these benefits are calculated, when you’re eligible to receive them and what you can expect from government sponsored pension plans.

Part 2 (Thursday, February 25th): Unpacking the Pension Promise
Join the MGEU’s Pension and Benefits expert to talk about your civil service superannuation pension plan and how to make the most of it.

Part 3 (Wednesday, March 3rd): The ABCs of RRSPs 
Learn more about RRSPs and the difference between RRIFs and annuities. Find out how to put all the pieces together to convert your retirement savings into retirement income.
