MGEU Local 199 Makes Donation to Haiti Relief

Local 199, Impark Lot Attendants of the Manitoba Government and General Employees’ Union (MGEU) announced a donation of almost $5000 for international relief efforts to help deal with the massive earthquake in Haiti.
Several members of Local 199 have family and friends living in Haiti and when they realized the devastation that had occured they rallied their fellow members to use their staff fund to make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross.
In late January the MGEU donated $32,000 to Haiti relief funds.
